This Cookie and Tracking Notice (“Notice”) explains how ThisIsDisco Ventures, LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company (“Ricasso”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), uses or does not use cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Ricasso website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Platform” or “Service”). This Notice should be read together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Introduction to Web Cookies and Tracking Technologies

A cookie is a small text file placed on a browser or device by a website server. Cookies can be used to remember preferences, maintain sessions, enable authentication, measure performance, personalize content, or track activity across websites. Similar technologies include web beacons, pixels, tags, SDKs, local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, social widgets, and tracking URLs.

This Notice is intentionally detailed because laws and platform rules often require operators to explain not only what they use today, but also how they would treat non-essential cookies or tracking if introduced later. The most important point for Ricasso V1 is simple: at launch, Ricasso does not use cookies, analytics, pixels, advertising trackers, or session replay tools on the Ricasso website or in the Ricasso mobile app.

Current Launch Position

Google Fonts

The Ricasso landing page loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those fonts, Google may receive information such as your IP address, browser request metadata, and information necessary to serve the font file. This is not a cookie placed by Ricasso, and Ricasso does not use Google Fonts to target advertising, track behavior, build user profiles, or measure cross-site activity. Ricasso may choose to self-host fonts in a future release.

The Ricasso Mobile App

The Ricasso mobile app communicates with Ricasso servers and third-party services through authenticated API calls and app infrastructure. The mobile app does not use web cookies. The app may store local app data, caches, credentials, authentication state, offline-read cache, queued writes, or similar application data on your device as necessary to operate the Service. This app-local storage is not used for advertising or behavioral tracking at launch.

Website Waitlist Form

The Ricasso website may include a waitlist form. At launch, the waitlist form collects email address, referral code if provided, assigned referral code, timestamp, source string, and user-agent string. The waitlist form does not use cookies, pixels, session replay, or analytics tools at launch.

Types of Cookies and Technologies We May Use in the Future

Although Ricasso does not place cookies at launch, the following categories explain common technologies that may be introduced later. If Ricasso introduces non-essential cookies, analytics, advertising, tracking, or similar technologies in the future, Ricasso will update this Notice and provide consent or opt-out mechanisms where required by applicable law.

Browser and Device Controls

Because Ricasso does not use cookies or advertising trackers at launch, there are no Ricasso advertising cookies to disable. You can still use your browser settings to block or delete cookies generally. You can also use mobile operating system settings to restrict advertising identifiers, tracking permissions, or app permissions. These controls may affect other websites or apps even though Ricasso does not use those technologies at launch.

Global Privacy Control and Opt-Out Preference Signals

At launch, Ricasso does not sell personal information, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use targeted advertising. Because there is no sale, sharing, or targeted advertising activity to opt out from at launch, Ricasso does not need to set an advertising opt-out cookie. If Ricasso introduces technologies subject to opt-out rights in the future, Ricasso will evaluate and honor Global Privacy Control or other legally required opt-out preference signals where required by applicable law and technically feasible.

Changes to This Notice

Ricasso may update this Notice from time to time to reflect changes in technology, vendors, laws, or Platform functionality. If Ricasso introduces non-essential cookies, analytics, targeted advertising, behavioral tracking, pixels, SDK tracking, or similar technologies, Ricasso will update this Notice and provide consent or opt-out mechanisms where required by applicable law.

Additional Detail Regarding Technologies Not Used at Launch

For avoidance of doubt, at launch Ricasso does not use the following categories of tools on ricasso.app or in the Ricasso mobile app for advertising or analytics purposes: Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Reddit Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Google Ads tags, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment, Sentry, Datadog, PostHog, Hotjar, FullStory, LogRocket, heatmaps, screen recording, session replay, web beacons, retargeting tags, ad SDKs, social sharing widgets, embedded social feeds, embedded YouTube or Vimeo players, Google Maps embeds, chat widgets, localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, or UTM-based advertising tracking.

Operational Logs Are Not Cookies

Ricasso and its infrastructure providers may collect operational logs, such as IP address, user-agent string, request route, status code, timestamp, Firebase UID on authenticated requests, and error information. These logs are used for security, rate limiting, debugging, system reliability, legal compliance, and abuse prevention. Operational logs are not browser cookies, and at launch they are not used for targeted advertising or behavioral tracking.

Mobile App Local Storage and Offline Cache

The mobile app may store local application data, offline-read caches, queued writes, authentication state, downloaded images, export files, or other local data on your device. These storage mechanisms are used to operate the app and are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking at launch. You can manage app storage through device settings, in-app settings where available, or by deleting the app, but deleting the app may not delete cloud-stored account data unless you use the account deletion tools.

Email Tracking

At launch, Ricasso does not use email open pixels or click-tracking links in its own marketing emails. Firebase may send password-reset or authentication emails. Shopify may send transactional merchandise emails. If Ricasso later introduces an email marketing provider that uses open tracking or click tracking, Ricasso will update applicable notices and provide unsubscribe or preference options where required by law. Ricasso’s marketing-email practices, if any, are also described in the Privacy Policy and are intended to comply with applicable commercial-email requirements.

Ricasso does not use a cookie banner at launch because there are no non-essential cookies or tracking technologies that require consent. If Ricasso later introduces analytics, advertising, behavioral tracking, or other non-essential technologies, Ricasso may implement a cookie consent tool, preference center, opt-out link, Global Privacy Control response, or other legally required mechanism. Refusing non-essential technologies should not prevent access to basic Platform functionality, though some optional features may not work as intended.
