Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
This Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information notice (“Notice”) explains how ThisIsDisco Ventures, LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company (“Ricasso”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), treats personal information under state privacy laws that provide rights to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, including sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, in connection with the Ricasso mobile application, website located at www.ricasso.app, and related services (collectively, the “Platform” or “Service”). Capitalized terms not defined in this Notice have the meanings given in the Privacy Policy or Terms of Service.
Our Data Practices
Ricasso does not sell your personal information. Ricasso does not share your personal information with advertising networks, data brokers, ad exchanges, behavioral advertising services, or other third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. Ricasso does not use ad SDKs, collect advertising identifiers, use targeted advertising, or track Users across third-party apps or websites at launch.
Ricasso does not sell, share, rent, license, or aggregate user collection data for advertising, analytics, market research, AI training, or third-party use at launch. User vault data is used to provide the Service to the User and is not shared with other Users at launch.
Feature-Directed Service Provider Disclosures
Certain feature-directed disclosures are necessary to operate the Service and are not sales of personal information by Ricasso at launch. For example:
- when you request eBay marketplace comparable data, Ricasso sends non-identifying product descriptors such as brand, model, and condition through server-side systems to eBay APIs;
- when you request UPC lookup, Ricasso sends the UPC code through server-side systems to the applicable UPC provider;
- Firebase and Google Cloud process Account data, vault data, photos, logs, and operational data to host, authenticate, store, secure, and operate the Service;
- Apple and Google process app-store downloads, digital purchases, subscription billing, entitlement validation, refunds, and related app-store matters under their own terms;
- Shopify, Stripe infrastructure, and fulfillment providers process merchandise order information on the separate Shopify merchandise storefront; and
- Google Fonts may receive IP address and browser request metadata when serving font files on the website.
These disclosures are used to provide the Platform, process user-directed functionality, operate infrastructure, process app-store purchases, or fulfill merchandise orders. They are not used by Ricasso for targeted advertising at launch.
Your Opt-Out Rights
Certain state privacy laws give eligible consumers the right to opt out of the sale of personal information, sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. Because Ricasso does not currently sell personal information, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, use targeted advertising, or engage in covered profiling, there is no sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or covered profiling activity from which you need to opt out at launch.
You may still contact us with privacy questions or requests by emailing privacy@ricasso.app. If Ricasso introduces a sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or covered profiling practice in the future, Ricasso will update this Notice and provide an appropriate opt-out mechanism before or at the time required by applicable law.
Global Privacy Control
At launch, Ricasso does not use cookies, targeted advertising, behavioral tracking, or sale/share practices that require an advertising opt-out cookie or signal processing. If Ricasso introduces covered tracking or sharing practices in the future, Ricasso will evaluate and honor Global Privacy Control and other legally required opt-out preference signals where required by applicable law and technically feasible.
Cookies and Advertising Controls
Ricasso does not use targeting or advertising cookies at launch. Accordingly, there are no Ricasso advertising cookies to disable. You may use browser settings to block or delete cookies generally and mobile operating system settings to restrict advertising identifiers or tracking permissions. These controls may affect other services even though Ricasso does not use advertising cookies or advertising identifiers at launch.
Future Changes
If Ricasso’s data practices change, including if Ricasso introduces advertising, behavioral tracking, targeted advertising, data sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, analytics providers that constitute a sale or sharing under applicable law, or other covered practices, Ricasso will update this Notice, the Privacy Policy, and related notices as appropriate. Ricasso will provide notice and opt-out rights where required by applicable law.
Definitions
For purposes of this page, “sell” generally refers to making personal information available to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration where covered by applicable law. “Share” generally refers to making personal information available for cross-context behavioral advertising. “Targeted advertising” generally refers to displaying ads based on personal information obtained from activity across non-affiliated websites, applications, or services. These definitions vary by state and are subject to exceptions.
Authorized Agent Requests
If your state law permits authorized agents to submit opt-out requests, the agent may contact us at privacy@ricasso.app. We may require proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your identity or confirm the request directly unless prohibited by law.
No Form at Launch
At launch, Ricasso receives privacy requests by direct email to privacy@ricasso.app. Ricasso does not use a Google Form for privacy request intake at launch. If a web form is introduced later, Ricasso will disclose any vendor used to operate that form where required by law.
Non-Discrimination
Ricasso will not unlawfully deny goods or services, charge different prices, provide a different level or quality of service, or retaliate against you because you exercised privacy rights. Some features may naturally depend on information that is necessary to provide the Service; for example, deleting your Account may prevent continued use of the app.
Response Timing
Ricasso aims to respond to privacy requests within thirty (30) days where practicable and within the time required by applicable law. We may extend the response period where permitted by law and may deny requests that are unverifiable, abusive, excessive, technically infeasible, legally restricted, or subject to an exception.
